Why a Working Window Lock Matters
An unlocked window is one of the easiest ways into a home, and many insurance policies require key-operated locks on accessible windows. If a window in your home no longer locks – or the key has long since disappeared – it is a quick, inexpensive fix that genuinely improves your security.
We repair or replace the locking gearbox, shootbolts and keeps inside the window, or fit complete new key-locking handles, matched to your existing windows.

We carry common window gearboxes, handles and locks in the van, so most window lock repairs are completed in one visit. And as always: no call-out charge, No Fix – No Fee.

- Fast local response – we cover the whole North East from our Houghton le Spring base

Can you fit extra window locks for insurance purposes?
Yes. We fit key-locking handles and additional window locks to meet home insurance requirements for accessible windows.
